Personal website hosting

Or to be exact, a list of some sites that offer it. I'll try all sites (or not) & add info & details about my experience as I go, so it's a WIP.

Neocities (free tier)

- Reported inability to download website if it is too large.
- Seems to be run by Kyle Drake & Kyle Drake alone, so feels a bit risky.
- File management: Aside from web UI, offers CLI.

Ichi.city

- Barebone, 10MB storage/site, forever free.
- No email required, no subdomain name change.
- File management: Aside from web UI, offers SFTP.

Teacake Hosting

- Haven't tried it yet.

Vistaserv

- Haven't tried it yet.
- Cannot use <script> unless contact developer.
- Editor sucks on mobile

Github Pages

- Seems kinda like a pain, consider Vercel as an alternative.

Geocities.ws

- Requires Address/City/State/ZIP/Country in registration.
- Can't do adult content or copyright-infringing stuff.
- I can't even sign up, guess that's a Nope.

Glitch.me

- The mobile editor is horrendous...
